Emmy Pena to represent the Dominican Republic at the 70th Miss World in Puerto Rico

24-year-old Emmy Pena, was crowned Miss World Dominican Republic 2021 at the glistening final held at the Barceló Grand Resort on 4th September. 25 candidates were vying for the title at the sparkling event which was broadcast live on Telecentro 13 and Telemicro International.

Emmy from Duarte province works as a professional model and has walked at various fashion shows including Bronx and Banco S/S 20 Show, Pyer Moss S/S 20 Show and RaisaVanessa S/S 20 Show. Unsurprisingly Emmy also won the Top Model Award at the Final.

All 25 finalists have Beauty with a Purpose projects with the Beauty with a Purpose Award going to Alejandra Vasquez Hirujo, the representative from San Pedro de Macorís. Alejandra is vice-president of Pinta Solidaridad, an organisation that helps children in rural areas by providing medical and educational support.

As her Beauty with a Purpose project, Emmy is celebrating the diversity of people, especially those with Down Syndrome. Her mission is to educate to destroy prejudice and the myth that this condition has limits.

Emmy will represent the Dominican Republic at the highly anticipated 70th Miss World Final in Puerto Rico, where reigning Miss World, Toni-Ann Singh will crown her successor on December 16 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, José Miguel Agrelot.
