From Cibao International Airport, people from Santiago celebrate the farewell to our Miss World Dominican Republic, Maria Victoria Bayo, who will represent all Dominicans in the 71st edition of Miss World from Mumbai, India.
The National Beauty Contest Organization Miss World Dominican Republic officially bid farewell to our Miss World Dominican Republic, Ms. Maria Victoria Bayo Martinez, who will have the responsibility of representing the Dominican Republic in the 71st edition of Miss World, which will be held in Mumbai, India with the participation of 140 countries from around the world.
From the Cibao International Airport, the people of Santiago celebrated the departure of the Dominican representative alongside the musical band of the Santiago City Hall, the Folkloric Ballet of the Santiago Cultural Center. Los Lechones Guinguirianos, the Pirañas Volleyball Team from Cien Fuegos and the Aguilita from the emblematic baseball team of the heart city, “Las Águilas Cibaeñas”. They bid farewell to Maria Victoria, creating a memorable and emotional moment.
Maria Victoria Bayo Martinez was crowned Miss World Dominican Republic in April 2023 and is recognized for being an exemplary young woman of our country and for her admirable story. Maria Victoria is a professional athlete and graduated with honors in business administration, specializing in international business. She has also become a prominent figure in sports, standing out from a young age as a professional athlete and volleyball champion.
The event was hosted by Nicolle Lamour and supported by the Director of Culture of the Santiago City Hall, who spoke on behalf of all the people of Santiago, bidding our queen farewell with joy. This farewell was supported by Cibao International Airport, the Santiago City Hall, and the Santiago Cultural Center.
Our queen expressed her commitment and pride in representing all Dominicans and gratitude to the government entities that have supported her to participate in the 71st edition of Miss World.
