Karolína Kopíncová reigns as Miss World Czech Republic
Karolína Kopíncová took over the Miss World Czech Republic reign from her predecessor, Denisa Spergerova, on Thursday 23rd July. The contest was the first virtual event in the Czech Republic! It was hosted by actor David Gránský and featured a variety of singers. The show was broadcast from the Aureole premises, Prague by Ocko TV. Spectators watched the broadcast, with social distance spacing, from the Congress Centre next to the Aureole premises, with the viewers vote going to Karolina.
Ten finalists were selected to compete for the crown and awards for preliminary competitions were presented. Karolina also won the Best Speaker award. This and the viewers vote earnt her significant points for the final. As well as the awards and crown, Karolina won an apartment and car amongst other prizes.
Miss World Czech Republic is 22 years old and from Vrbno pod Pradědem. She is a Media and Communications student from Masaryk University and says that her duties as Miss World Czech Republic will help her future career in journalism.
