A significant impact on children’s education
The Czech Republic also faces problems, especially those related to social issues. We grapple with the issue of social exclusion, which has a significant impact on children's education. There is a specific group of people in Czech society who are marginalized. They lack sufficient education, social contacts, and job opportunities. Their problems accumulate and plunge them deeper into social despair.
It is not just about poverty, so even financial assistance will not solve these problems. For some individuals, spatial exclusion occurs, where people with similar problems live in a specific area of the city, isolated from the rest. Paradoxically, housing in these areas is even more expensive, as buildings in such locations are often in poor condition, and people frequently have various arrears. They also often struggle with debt, and getting out of this situation is not easy. They often adapt to the situation and make do with what is left.
The entire situation contributes to unemployment. In the areas where children come from, the majority of residents have only basic education, and only a few pursue secondary education. In the Czech education system, there is often segregation of these children. Children with similar problems are placed in a specific school that other parents do not want to send their children to. Since they are separated from an early age, they have no chance to build contacts for the future, forcing them to maintain connections with people in similar situations. Stigmatization based on ethnicity or social status occurs as a result.
