Yum !
Delight of RAICES Restaurant Among the things I learned about Puerto Rico is the fact that coffee is one of the island’s specialties. Indeed, Puerto Rico makes very fine and excellent coffee. During my stay at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Rio Grande, I must say, I splurged on the irresistible Puerto Rican coffee almost every day.

Meeting
With Mr. Ángel González DamudtMeeting the mayor of Rio Grande, Mr. Ángel González Damudt, during a dinner with the Miss World organization. The mayor was very friendly and humble. During our conversation, I mentioned that my dad is also a mayor for the biggest urban communes of my capital city, Abidjan. I told him I know something about the huge task he has as a mayor and thanked him for his service. I am extremely grateful to have met Mayor Damudt.
Plena and Bomba

Beautiful Puerto Rico is known for its mesmerizing culture, its music, its colors, and its diversity. After the Head-to-Head challenge, I was invited by one of the beautiful cultural dancers to share a moment of Puerto Rican dance, a mix of Plena and Bomba.
El Yunque
Visiting Puerto Rico’s El Yunque National Forest! This is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. national forest system, and one of Puerto Rico's most beloved natural gems! The green was so fresh and refreshing it reminded me of the forest in Côte d’Ivoire!
Salsa
Puerto Rico is also known for its famous salsa music, which I could not resist after our unforgettable trip to the beautiful island of Mata La Gata.
Parade
Every year, the town of Rio Grande holds a parade showcasing Puerto Rico’s beautiful culture, music, and dancers. It is a festival celebrating the Christmas spirit. This year, the beauty contestants present in Puerto Rico were part of the celebration, and I had the honor of waving the flag of Côte d’Ivoire during the parade.
