In a dazzling ceremony, Opal Suchata from Thailand was crowned by Krystyna Pyszková from Czech Republic, the 71st Miss World, who gracefully passed on the title to her successor. The coronation moment was met with thunderous applause as the newly crowned 72nd Miss World 2025 stood radiant, embodying the values of compassion, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose.

Highlighting Miss World's advances in the digital world, Opal also won the contest’s multimedia component and topped the contestant app leaderboard, with over 2.3 million views.

The evening was a celebration of beauty beyond appearances; emphasizing intelligence, advocacy, and social impact. Co-hosted by Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, and Indian television presenter Sachiin Kumbhar, the finale was infused with glamour and emotion. The crowd was mesmerized by energetic performances by Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter, adding a lively Indian flair to the global event.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Miss World Humanitarian Award to actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood, honoured for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian work. The competition began with the introduction of all 108 delegates, followed by the announcement of the Top 40 quarterfinalists - ten from each continental region: Africa, Americas & Caribbean, Europe, and Asia & Oceania.

Several contestants had already advanced by winning fast-track challenges such as Top Model, Sports Challenge, Talent, Multimedia, Head-to-Head, and Beauty With a Purpose. The remaining semifinalists were selected by the panel of judges after personal interviews, and their names were revealed during the live finale.

From these 40 quarterfinalists, the competition was narrowed down to a Top 20.

Then to the Top 8, followed by the announcement of the four continental winners. These exceptional women represented the very best of their respective regions and earned their place in the final round.

The final four then faced the jury one last time, answering a thought-provoking question that tested their vision, eloquence, and values. Their responses played a key role in determining the ultimate winner.

Chairwoman of the Miss World Organization, Julia Morley CBE, who presided over the jury, praised the finalists for their depth, grace, and clarity of thought. The 1st runner-up was Ethiopia, Hasset Dereje (Miss World Africa), the 2nd runner-up was Poland, Maja Klajda (Miss World Europe), while the 3rd runner-up was Martinique, Aurélie Joachim (Miss World Caribbean).

Miss World Asia was Krishnah Marie Gravidez from the Philippines. Jessica Pedroso from Brazil was Miss World Americas. Jasmine Stringer from Australia was Miss World Oceania.

On the 25th May 2025, the 72nd Miss World Festival officially commenced with a spectacular inauguration at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, setting the stage for a month-long celebration of beauty, culture, and humanitarian values. Held in Hyderabad and graciously hosted by the philanthropic icon Sudha Reddy, the evening brought together all 108 contestants for a powerful showcase of compassion and community impact.

The highlight of the night was the announcement of the top two projects from each continental region, followed by the selection of four overall winners, each earning a fast-track place in the 72nd Miss World Festival Quarterfinals.

Indonesia's Monica Kezia Sembiring was announced as the Beauty with a Purpose Award winner at the 72nd Miss World Final.

“Pipeline for Lifeline”. Monica’s transformative project brings clean water and improved sanitation to underserved communities in Indonesia. By addressing the most basic human need, safe water, her initiative is restoring health and dignity to those in need.

Top 4:

“Communicating Without Limits”. Drawing from personal experience, Valeria’s project supports marginalized communities, particularly individuals with Down syndrome, the deaf community, and families affected by cancer. Through inclusive communication programs, Valeria is breaking barriers and promoting dignity and opportunity.

“Nyonyozi Initiative”. Natasha’s project advocates for children with autism and promotes broader social inclusion. Her tireless work is reshaping awareness and access to resources for neurodivergent children across Uganda. It is based on a personal experience, once her brother is autistic.

First Aid Against Knife Crime. With 233 young lives lost to knife-related violence in the past year alone, trainee doctor Millie-Mae is using her medical background to educate youth in life-saving first aid skills. Her initiative is a call to action, turning tragedy into empowerment and hope.

The 72nd Miss World Festival Head to Head Challenge, offered the contestants a platform to express their convictions, share their stories, and present the causes they champion through Beauty With a Purpose.

The first session featured continental groups, who took on the challenge with powerful conviction, authenticity, and heart. These inspiring young women proved themselves to be true game changers and agents of goodwill, reminding everyone that beauty paired with purpose is a powerful force for change.

Held at T-Hub, Hyderabad’s premier innovation hub (two first days) and Trident Hyderabad (final), the Head to Head Challenge is a cornerstone of the Miss World competition. Across three days, contestants were given the space to voice their ideas, discuss their impactful projects, and speak from the heart on issues that matter most to them and their communities.

This inspiring event was live-streamed globally via YouTube, allowing audiences worldwide to witness the intelligence, compassion, and leadership of these remarkable women.

Monica Kezia Sembiring of Indonesia was the winner of the 72nd Miss World Talent Final. The event took place at the iconic Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad, Telangana. Monica captivated the judges and audience with an original piano composition titled “Your Golden Hour,” a performance that not only highlighted her musical prowess but also earned her a fast-track spot into the Top 10 of the Asia & Oceania continental group.

The Talent Final featured 24 exceptional contestants selected through a rigorous two-round audition process. These talented women showcased a diverse array of performances, including traditional dances, powerful vocals, DJ sets, and innovative routines.

The evening concluded with a vibrant group performance, with Miss World Kenya as DJ, celebrating unity, cultural pride, and the spirit of Beauty With a Purpose, a true reflection of Telangana’s rich heritage.

The runway came alive at the spectacular Trident Hyderabad as the 72nd Miss World Top Model Competition took center stage, blending high fashion with purpose, identity, and the global spirit of Miss World.

In a historic moment for Estonia, Eliise Randmaa, clinched the gold medal at the 72nd Miss World Sports Challenge, held at the iconic Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. This victory marked Estonia’s first advancement to the next round of Miss World since 1999, securing her place among Europe’s Top 10 quarter-finalists.

Martinique shined brightly, earning the silver medal and bringing pride to her Caribbean island.

Canada took home the bronze with an incredible performance in the Miss World Badminton Tournament.
