Unveiling the journey from Miss World Canada to Vogue's runway, fueled by the remarkable support and talent found in Mexico

Becoming Miss World Canada has been a journey filled with incredible milestones, but one of the most memorable aspects has been the opportunity to connect with amazing talents in the fashion industry. Today, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Arturo Diaz, a pivotal figure who not only enhanced my journey but also helped fulfill one of my lifelong dreams. From meeting him as a judge at Miss World Canada to working with him in Mexico he has been a very important part of my journey to Miss World.

Arturo Diaz orchestrated an exceptionally beautiful photo shoot that gave me the perfect Miss World crowning photos. This shoot, made possible by the incredible talents of Karlos Reyes, a professional makeup artist, Jorge Ruiz, another talented photographer and Neth, a beauty expert and hairstylist, was nothing short of magical. Their combined expertise brought out a version of me that was both empowered and elegant, capturing the essence of what it means to be Miss World Canada.

But Arturo's influence didn't stop there. He opened the door to an experience I had only dreamed of—walking a Vogue runway. Participating in the Dia de los Muertos runway show for Benito Santos and Vogue was a milestone in my modelling career, turning a long-held dream into a stunning reality. It was such a dream come true because as a fan of Benito Santos' design work, I competed and won Miss World Canada in a gown of his design. I am grateful to this day for Arturo for making that connection and to Benito Santos for having me in his show.

I am also incredibly grateful to Arturo for introducing me to Karlos Reyes. Karlos later invited me to Guadalajara for a makeup class and photo shoot—an experience that was both educational and transformative. This incredible weekend began with a "Peaks for a Purpose" awareness campaign and fundraiser climb on Nevado de Colima, organized with the help of Black Bear Experiences. Following the climb, I attended Karlos' makeup class and then visited his hometown, where I had the privilege of learning about his community, meeting local pageant queens, and taking part in a beautiful photo shoot.

The kindness and support I have received from Arturo, Karlos, and the entire support system in Mexico have been instrumental in my journey to Miss World. Their generosity, talent, and encouragement have not only enriched my experience but also underscored the importance of community and collaboration in achieving our dreams.

As I reflect on these experiences, I am reminded of the power of connection and the beauty of coming together to create something truly special. To Arturo, Karlos, Neth, and everyone who has been a part of this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your contributions have not only helped me grow as Miss World Canada but also as a person, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
