Visiting the Gandhi Memorial

Day 2 of my Miss World journey was a profound exploration of peace, legacy, and the power of leading with compassion. Our day began with a visit to the Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat, a serene and elegant tribute to Shri. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, known globally as Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation of India. Situated along the banks of the River Yamuna, this memorial encapsulates Gandhi's principles of "Ahimsa" - the respect for all living things and the avoidance of violence towards others. His unwavering commitment to peaceful expression, equality, and humanitarian values was palpable in the air, reminding us of the timeless relevance of his teachings.

Following our visit to the memorial, we crossed the street to explore the museum dedicated to Gandhi's life. This provided us with deeper insights into his journey, philosophy, and the indelible impact he has left on the world. The museum was a window into the soul of a leader whose legacy of non-violence and justice continues to inspire generations.

The day progressed with the filming of our profile videos, an opportunity to share our stories and the visions we carry into the Miss World competition. It was a moment to connect with our individual purposes.

As we pause before dinner, I reflect on the day's experiences with a heart full of gratitude. Visiting the Gandhi Memorial and museum has enriched my Miss World journey with invaluable lessons on leadership, peace, and the strength found in gentleness. Day 2 has been an unforgettable testament to the values that bind us in our shared humanity.
