A smile for a day
It was an honor for me to be part of this amazing initiative organized by 2 orphanages and a house for street children with social reintegration; St Therese d’obili, sainte Rita de Cascia de Mendong and foyer de l’experance respectively with theme “ A smile for a day” in association with the Higher commissioner of Canada. 
This initiative was brought forth to put smile on the faces of these beautiful kids through a fashion show organized just for them and knowing that it’s something I have a passion for, I was so excited to be there and witness it. They really did amazing with the fashion parade and the designs they had on as well. It was so much fun.
The higher commissioner for Canada has been organizing a lot of programs for the needy and I count myself blessed to be part of this. 
What touched me the most is the fact that these kids were so so happy during this event. The fact that they were happy, joyful and excited really made me feel good because not everyone has that opportunity to call a certain group of people their family or guardians yet, with their experiences, they still could smile, have fun and be very active. Fun fact!! They made everything there was to eat and it was so delicious!!.
I consider these kids my Siblings because I believe we make what we call a family through our actions and no one needs to have a blood tie with you to be called their family, our actions define what regards we have for others and me just spending this day with them gave me some level of fulfillment.
They gave us a very lovely and adorable welcome speech and we danced, sang together and watch them have a great day with so much excitement and fun. This day was specially for them.
