Hello! I'm Caroline Teixeira, Miss Brazil World, and today I'm going to talk to you about my arrival in Puerto Rico. After months of preparation and a lot of dedication to play my best role, it was time to leave for San Juan.

.

I confess that participating in the main beauty contest on the planet, something so great, caused me expectations and butterflies in my stomach: what to expect? Are the girls cool and friendly? I was afraid because it was a new environment and one thing is what we are told, the other is what we find and experience.

The truth is, I arrived in Puerto Rico and found a family! From the airport to the reception at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve, the staff was always very friendly, making us feel at home. The girls were so friendly, that we forgot we were in a competition. Our day-to-day was one of exchange, easy laughter, bonds that were forming. I saw women who, much more than competitors, wanted to help and support each other. It was light and peaceful.

The contest was guided by sisterhood, empathy, and a lot of respect, from the first day to what would be the day of the grand final. I shared my life story with them and they shared theirs with me. And we have all learned so many things, but mainly, to respect the achievements of each one.

I will talk about this in more detail in another post, but I can say that Puerto Rico was the ideal place for all of this to happen this way. Why? Because Puerto Ricans are happy and hospitable people, very smiling and helpful. They welcomed us with affection and much recognition. Being in Puerto Rico was like being in Brazil, and when people are nice and always ready to strike up a conversation with you, everything is easier!

The bottom line is that all my apprehensions went down the drain the moment I arrived in Puerto Rico. It was the beginning of a magical and love-filled journey. I express my eternal gratitude to God and to the Miss World Organization for that!
