Participation as National Leprosy Ambassador at the Palácio da Planalto for the Sanction of the Separated Children Law which took place on 11/24, in Brasília, in the Federal District, capital of Brazil. Do you know what is behind the separated children law? For a long time, children of people affected by leprosy were forcibly taken from their mothers at birth and taken to preventories. They suffered being abused and violated, whether physically, psychologically or verbally. A pain felt by thousands of mothers who did not know their children's faces. And of children who dreamed of knowing who their parents were and having a normal life. The law comes to support, welcome and compensate. Several lives that were affected today celebrate this beautiful achievement and this historic day. I feel happy to be present at a moment like this and see the repair of separated children.
