In our trip to the Puertorican Institution of Culture I learnt of PPIC‘s very first award in art and entertainment! Such a deserving acknowledgment to an institution that works very hard to promote the rich history of this beautiful place called Puerto Rico.

From learning about the oldest document ever recorded from the General Archive of Puerto Rico in 1676. To seeing Don Richardo Joy’s legacy influencing plastic artist and craftsmen.

“ From pain and anger, resistance and rebellion are born. Altars are erected in remembrance of the lives lost. The courage to guide unbearable struggles - “
“ if any of us is harmed, we are all harmed”.

This is just a snippet from Patricia Algeria Tegeda’s memoir.

A remembrance that change is always brought about through fight and perseverance for what we believe is right.
