Every moment at the 71st Miss World in India, I learn something new. Today I was inspired during the AWWA workshop. Namaste.
As I stepped into the Ashok Hall at the Manekshaw Centre this morning, I was immediately struck by the energy and enthusiasm radiating from the attendees of the Women Empowerment and Sustainability workshop. As one of the 113 participants of the 71st Miss World Festival, I was honored to be in the presence of influential figures such as the CEO of Miss World Julia Morley, alongside Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska and Miss World 2018, Vanessa Ponce de Leon.
The workshop, which was hosted by the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), showcased the remarkable social work being done by the organization. From promoting education and menstrual hygiene to fostering sustainable development and assisting military widows, AWWA's dedication to empowerment and support was truly inspiring.
Listening to the speeches delivered by the army wives, it became abundantly clear that these women were not just spouses of servicemen, but gifted individuals with a wealth of ideas, talents, and expertise. Together, they worked tirelessly to uplift other women and aid the most vulnerable members of society.
What struck me most was the alignment between the ideals and actions of AWWA and those of Julia Morley and the Miss World Organization. Both entities shared a common vision of empowerment, inclusion, and service to others. It was heartening to witness the synergy between these organizations as they discussed their humanitarian projects aimed at improving the lives of women, children, and communities worldwide.
Leaving the workshop, I felt inspired and invigorated by the collective efforts of those in the room. It served as a reminder that no matter our background or circumstances, we all have the ability to make a positive impact and create a brighter future for generations to come.
