We have the largest continuous and high salt desert in the world, with an area of 10,582 km² (4,085.7 square miles). It is located in the department of Potosí, within the highland region of the Andes mountain range. The Salar de Uyuni is an important reserve of lithium and also has significant amounts of potassium, boron and magnesium. As every Bolivian is one of our great wonders that we are proud to have, we are a country blessed with imposing and incredible places. The purpose of each human being is to value his own, to value his land, to value his culture, to value his customs, traditions, folklore, but above all our people.
