These stories are not mine. But they’ve shaped every part of me. When I began supporting the Tara Brown Foundation, it wasn’t just as a spokesperson. It was as someone grieving a family friend, someone who was taken too soon, too violently, and too publicly. Since then, I’ve listened to women who’ve survived domestic violence in all its forms: physical, emotional, legal, financial. I’ve seen how abuse hides behind charm. Behind closed doors. Behind silence. Their Stories, My Purpose is a project that holds space for some of those voices. It’s not comfortable. It’s not pretty. But that’s why it matters. Because what breaks my heart most is knowing how many of these women didn’t realise it was abuse… until it nearly killed them. That’s why my Beauty With a Purpose project is focused on prevention, on teaching children what love is, and what it’s not. I’m focused on building tools for safety before harm becomes normal.
