The Mindfulness Mondays Series
Amidst the second lockdown in Victoria (AU), the inception of the Mindfulness Mondays series occurred. On November 16, 2020, I officially introduced my interview series, intending to cast a spotlight on the positive aspects still prevalent in our world. Conceived as a brief 30-minute respite, the series aimed to serve as a distraction, offering a reminder of the wonderful people and acts of kindness amidst our darkest days.
The series was crafted to acknowledge everyday heroes, from local business owners to mindset coaches, and families with compelling stories. It highlighted individuals making significant impacts within our society, dedicating their time, energy, and effort to effect positive change. The goal was to create a light-hearted and easy-to-watch series that was equally insightful and influential. Through meaningful conversations, the series generated awareness about a diverse range of topics, and credit is due to the 20+ individuals (and counting!) who contributed to making this series possible.
The Mindfulness Mondays series encouraged an environment of openness and vulnerability, allowing individuals to speak candidly about their efforts in social activism and community involvement. It has been an immense honor to expose the hard work of those committed to making a positive difference.
One valuable lesson that the Mindfulness Mondays series underscored for me is the importance of listening. In the midst of our own words and thoughts, it's easy to forget the power of truly listening—listening not just with ears but with the heart and soul. I've been fortunate to listen to numerous Australians engaged in incredible, life-changing work, and it is their stories that inspired the creation of this series.
