The Masks and Snorkels arrived! - Bush to Beach Program
Bush to Beach is dedicated to inspiring hope, confidence, self-esteem and promoting education for our great Aussie bush kids.
I was absolutely thrilled to open the 6 boxes containing the scuba-quality masks and snorkels to give to the kids who participate on the Bush to Beach camp this October!
This generous donation is thanks to Adreno Australia which has donated over $6,000 of snorkelling equipment to Bush to Beach and the kids will get to take home their set after the camp too. I have snorkelled my whole life, and being able to share the experience with the participants is going to be a truly humbling, exciting, and memorable experience. I am sure that they will be teaching me a lot more than what I can teach them, and I feel absolutely blessed to be able to demonstrate this in-water activity with the hopes of sparking their interest in the ocean as after all it always was, and always will be, theirs.

About the Program : Bush to Beach brings up to 50 young people, plus carers, from Brewarrina, Goodooga, Bourke and surrounding communities in far north west NSW to Sydney’s Northern Beaches for a three-day camp each year. The trip away provides the young people with a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore new places, while learning valuable skills. For some of the program participants, this will be the first time they’ve seen the ocean or even a traffic light. The educational component of the trip teaches the kids water safety, CPR and basic first aid (Educate resuscitate Project) while making new friends among families from the Northern Beaches community!
