Over the past 15 years I have had a passion for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This passion started when i met my best friend Julie, who had the disease ever since we were young girls. Heart breakingly, Julie passed away 8 years ago. I supported her as a caretaker, and friend while she was fighting each ay with Cystic Fibrosis. Now, i turned my pain into my power, and used my Power for my purpose. I travel around the country advocating, hosting, lobbying, and education individuals about Cystic Fibrosis. In hopes that I get to expwerince the day when CF stands for Cure Found. 

My efforts in the past 15 years include: 

-Traveling to over 20 states to speak to community members and government officals about Cystic Fibrosis, and healthcare rights. 

-Raising over $400,000.00 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 

-Writing and publishing a children's book telling Julie's Story with Cystic Fibrosis. 

-Distributing "Julie's Adventure with Cystic Fibrosis," (Book) to all 50 states in America. 

The opportunity to support this cause is so incredibly important to me beacuse it allows me to feel that Julie's light is still shinning on this earth.
