The last month has been one of the busiest and most incredible… months of my life. Representing Canada at Miss World was an honour beyond words, and one I’ll carry with me forever. Since returning home, I’ve taken time to rest and reflect. Last week, I visited Canmore, Alberta, and hiked up a mountain. Halfway through, I found myself, tired, struggling but also in awe of the beauty surrounding me. I kept saying, "Wow, aren’t we grateful?”When we reached a scenic viewpoint, our group debated whether to keep going to the very top. I chose to stay behind and while I didn’t reach the summit, I stood still, breathed in the fresh air, and fully embraced the view I did have. That moment reminded me so much of my Miss World journey. It’s not always about the destination. Sometimes, the most powerful part is the journey itself, the people beside you, the growth along the way, and the courage to simply keep going. Regardless of the end results at Miss World and not “making it to the top of the mountain”, I am SO proud of what I did achieve: becoming the first Indigenous woman to represent Canada on the Miss World stage, a moment that will forever be a part of history. Thank you to every single person who believed in me, supported me, and walked this journey with me. I appreciate and love you all. Signing off for the final time as Miss World Canada, Emma Morrison 🇨🇦❤️
