Dear Anudi Gunasekara, When I first saw you, you were a young schoolgirl in your early youth… I was a medical student undergoing clinical training at the time. If my memory serves me right, this was about 10 years ago. Your beloved grand mom was receiving treatment at Ward 62 of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital, where I was doing my clinical training. Your mother, who is her elder doughter, was tirelessly caring for her. And when she couldn’t be there, it was you, her beloved grand doughter, who looked after her with such love and dedication—staying by her side day and night, fulfilling her every need without complaint. Since your grand mom was unable to speak at the time, we medical students turned to you to learn about her medical history and current condition. You described everything clearly and thoroughly, showing just how close and attentive you were to her. I didn’t see you again until about two years ago, in a television commercial. The moment I saw you, I recognized you instantly. But this time, you had blossomed into a strikingly confident young woman. Since then, I have seen you a few more times as a model… And after you were crowned Siyatha Miss Sri Lanka 2024, I became even more curious—was this really the same little girl I had seen in Anuradhapura ten years ago? I was filled with wonder. Through social media, I continued to learn more about you—your charitable foundation for girls and your preparation for Miss World 2025. Now, from the bottom of my heart, I wish that you may win the Miss World 2025 crown. Why? Because I have already witnessed your grounded nature, your tireless determination, your charitable foundation, and your story—all of which are proof of how deserving you are. So, dearest Anudi, I wish you nothing but success upon success. May you triumph! With love and blessings. Sri Lanka, always proud of you. 🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰
