Anudi Gunasekara is a Sri Lankan model, social activist, and the reigning Miss World Sri Lanka 2024. Born on November 7, 1999, in Anuradhapura, she is set to represent Sri Lanka at the 72nd Miss World pageant, scheduled to take place in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to May 31, 2025 .Anudi completed her primary education at Anuradhapura Central College. She holds a BA (Hons) degree in International Relations from the University of Kelaniya. Her academic background has shaped her into a thoughtful and articulate advocate for meaningful causes—traits that align closely with the core values of the Miss World platform .She was crowned Miss World Sri Lanka 2024, also securing the Most Popular and Best in Evening Wear titles.Beyond pageantry, Anudi is deeply committed to social activism. She founded the "Saheli" Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on addressing period poverty in Sri Lanka. I met her at a movie screening directed by Mr. Sri Lanka; Megha Sooriyarachchi, and she had come to show her support for her fellow titleholder—crowned the same year she became Miss World Sri Lanka 2024. It was truly heartwarming to see someone of her stature taking time to celebrate the achievements of her peers. What impressed me even more was her down-to-earth attitude and warm presence. With her elegance and confidence, it's no surprise she’s drawn interest beyond pageantry. With her passion for the entertainment world, I wouldn’t be surprised if she steps into Tollywood someday.
