.etce I am dedicating this post to your speech on the Miss World platform. At the beginning of the speech, you mentioned the teachings of Buddha. The best gift that India gave to Sri Lanka was Buddhism. People must have remembered that. In those few minutes, you spoke very clearly and accurately about yourself, Sri Lanka's history, its culture, the cultural diversity of the country, the difficult times the country went through, free education, your city and its pride As a person from your own city and resident in Canada, I also felt great respect and pride at that moment. Next, you spoke about menstrual poverty. I could see the innocent faces of women and girls who still cannot afford a pad. Seeing a little girl born in my small town talking about menstrual poverty on a world platform with her head held high and unwavering, it really brought tears to my eyes. As a true Sri Lankan girl, you appreciated beauty queens in other countries. You showed the whole world what a big heart you have. That's how you won this competition. In the end, you took the whole world in your hands. I can't change the whole world. But I can change someone's world. You weren't emotional at any point. you kept your head high. you were spot on Anudi. That was a world class performance.
