Maryely Leal, an international studies graduate from Guasave, Sinaloa, was elected Miss Mexico 2024 on October 3rd. The 27-year-old model will represent her country at the 72nd edition of Miss World. Leal edged out other 31 state representatives in an event held at the iconic Teatro Metropolitano, in Mexico City. The new Mexican representative received the crown from Alejandra Díaz, who represented Mexico at India's 71st Miss World Festiva, early in 2024.
