MISS WORLD-D Day
All is now set for the grand finale of the 2026 Miss World Festival in the beautiful tourist city of Nha Trang, Vietnam.
The high profile delegation from Nigeria speaks to the home support of Nigeria's representative, Queen Tamunosoye Karibi George, anipr.
The President of Nigeria is represented by the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim who is leading a high powered Federal Government delegation.
Dr Honor Sirawoo, mni Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications is representing the State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS and is leading a robust state delegation.
Other stakeholders present are a prominent former Bayelsa congressman, Prof Steve Azaiki, one time Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government and a former member of the House of Representatives who doubles as Chairman of Miss World -Nigeria and Egnr Udengs Eradiri a notable activist and politician from Bayelsa State.
The Silverbird group, led by the National Director Miss World Nigeria, Mr. Guy Murray-Bruce and their incredible and creative team members are also here.
The immediate and extended family of Queen Soye is equally represented by her proud father and mother, Barrister Karibi and Mrs Ebitari George and her Uncle, Dr Dawari George, a former Member of the House of Representatives, amongst other family members of the Prince George Group of Houses and communities of Buguma, Rivers State and the Aganaba Royal Family of Odi, Bayelsa State.
TeamSoye lead, Prince Iwefa Aganaba described the day as a coronation ceremony to recognize and reward beauty with a purpose.
There is frenzy and excitement in the Nigerian delegation in Vietnam given the outstanding showing of her representative in the competition. The African support and solidarity for her is unprecedented in the history of the competition.
