I attended the African and Afro-descendant Culture ceremony

Yesterday, I attended the African and Afro-descendant Culture ceremony, a moment that deeply marked me, placed under the high sponsorship of the Ministry of Arts and Culture.

A moment when we celebrate not only works or journeys, but above all the identity, memory and strength of our African and Afro-descendant roots.

Being present reminded me of an essential thing: our cultures are not frozen in the past. They are alive, in motion, carriers of future and transmission.

Every gesture, every symbol, every recognition becomes an invitation to never forget where we come from, to better know where we are going.

I leave this ceremony nourished, encouraged, and even more convinced that reconnecting with one's culture is also reconciling with oneself.

Because Africa is not only told. It is lived, transmitted and protected.
