Our Anudi Gunasekara made her debut at the 72nd Miss World pageant 👸🏻🇱🇰 To symbolize the blue water lily, the national flower of Sri Lanka, as a tribute to the first Miss Sri Lanka, Manel Ilangakoon, and to represent the color of the Saheli Foundation that Anudi started to eradicate menstrual poverty, she wore a traditional purple osari and simple jewelry. The concept of this dress and the symbolic meaning it represents is entirely Anudi's idea and she started planning it the day after she won the Miss Sri Lanka crown. That is, almost a year ago!!
