2025 has been a year of growth and responsibility. Being crowned Miss World Netherlands marked the realization that two years of focused preparation had led to a moment of responsibility. Every choice I made along that journey was guided by a clear purpose, not only to represent my country, but to use this platform to create meaningful impact. For me, this title was not an ending, but the beginning of a larger mission. This journey has reshaped how I understand beauty. I have learned that true beauty lies in the ability to create positive change for others. Through my Beauty With a Purpose work, I discovered the power of using my voice with intention, to inspire, to educate, and to invite others into the conversation. It has allowed me to see myself not just as a representative, but as someone capable of contributing to lasting change. Carrying this role has also deepened my understanding of confidence. To me confidence means standing firmly behind your choices, guided by values and a clear worldview. As Miss World Netherlands, I am often called to speak about complex and sensitive topics. This has taught me that leadership requires empathy, conviction, and the ability to communicate with grace. Empowering others rather than persuading them. Above all, this journey has strengthened my sense of responsibility: to listen carefully, to represent thoughtfully, and to ensure that every action aligns with purpose. My mission, promoting positive change through plant-based living, sustainability, and education, will continue to evolve throughout my life. Being Miss World Netherlands has brought me one step closer to living that mission with clarity, dedication, and impact. 🤍
