71st Miss World Festival - Opening Ceremony Leanni's costume represents a modern take on tradition: connecting past, present and future for Cayman's women. The thatch woven hat by Ms. Rose May Ebanks honors the strength of Caymanian women from the past who paved the way for the strong women of today. It also represents the Islands' unique matriarchal past. The corset and pants symbolize today's growth. Finally, the 20,000-hand encrusted crystal Cayman crest cape proudly represents the shining Caymanian heroes of tomorrow. The costume was designed and conceived by Caymanian model and actress, Selita Ebanks and tailed by Larry of LM Fashion Couture.
