The "Burning Torch"
"I believe education is the 'burning torch' that can illuminate the darkest corners of our world. As a teaching assistant at Luanda International School and a Political Science student, I have seen firsthand that knowledge is the most powerful tool for change.
I carry this torch with me because I know what it’s like to face obstacles. A few years ago, my sister and I launched a business that failed—twice. But I chose to be determined and strong. On our third attempt, we succeeded because we learned that dreams are worth every 'try' it takes to get them right.
This persistence led us to Casa das Crianças, where we combined education and nutrition to uplift 150 children in Viana. My purpose is to ensure every person feels seen, valued, and empowered through service.
Beyond the classroom, I am an outgoing designer who finds my voice through fashion. To me, fashion is more than fabric; it is a form of self-expression and a way to give back to society by helping others feel confident in their own skin. Whether I am learning persistence on the tennis court or self-defense through kickboxing, I am always training to be a champion for others.
My goal is to use the Miss World platform to educate nations. This year, I am proud to partner with the GED Organization to bridge the educational gap and provide life-changing opportunities for as many people as possible. Together, let’s keep the torch of action burning bright."
