Puerto Rico has officially selected its representative for the 75th Anniversary edition of Miss World, to be held in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5. Suil Anyelina Pagán, a 21-year-old university student and track and field athlete, was officially crowned Miss World Puerto Rico 2026 during a presentation held at the Wyndmar Grand Río Mar Rainforest Beach & Golf Resort in Río Grande.

Born in Bayamón and raised in Dorado, Pagán is pursuing a degree in Arts with a concentration in Design. She is also a member of several academic honor societies, including the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

The daughter of former Major League Baseball outfielder Ángel Pagán and model and entrepreneur Windy Pagán, she credits athletics with shaping her character. A dedicated track and field athlete, she describes running as a way of life that has taught her discipline, perseverance, and resilience.

Her Beauty With a Purpose initiative, “Corriendo por Puerto Rico” (Running for Puerto Rico), promotes access to sports for girls and young people from underserved communities, encouraging them to discover the transformative power of athletics. 

“I hope to inspire children to discover the transformative power of sports,” she said.

Pagán succeeds Valeria Pérez, the Beauty With a Purpose Americas & Caribbean Winner and a Top 20 semi-finalist at Miss World 2025 (Top 5 in the Americas & Caribbean), and will represent the island at Miss World’s 75th Anniversary Festival in Vietnam.
