Goa welcomes the new Femina Miss India World with pride

Femina Miss India World 2026, Sadhvi Sail, returned to Goa to a public welcoming marked by large crowds, official reception, and community celebrations.
She arrived at Goa Dabolim International Airport, where she was received by Ganesh Gaokar, Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly. Family members, supporters, and well-wishers gathered to welcome her.
Traditional rituals, including aarti, teeka, and garlanding, were performed by her family. Schoolchildren and local residents joined the festivities with music from drums and bands accompanying the celebrations.
A public rally followed, during which Sail rode on a decorated float through Vasco City, with crowds lining the streets.
Speaking about the moment, her father, Satish Sail, said he initially struggled to believe the news when she called to inform him of her win, adding that the family felt proud of her achievement.
Before reaching her hotel, Sail visited Shri Damodar Temple to offer prayers.
She will compete at the 74th edition of Miss World, to be held in Tanzania, in May 2027.
