“With youth action, the planet heals,” said the reigning Miss World Vietnam Lê Nguyễn Bảo Ngọc as she addressed more than 20,000 young participants at Vietnam Green Day 2025, one of the country’s largest environmental gatherings.

Getting ready to represent Vietnam at the 73rd Miss World, in 2026, Bảo Ngọc delivered a powerful message on climate responsibility, youth empowerment, and sustainable living  urging the next generation to take a leading role in protecting the planet.

Bảo Ngọc is the founder of Gen Zero, a youth-led, non-profit platform dedicated to mobilizing Vietnamese youth to take meaningful action toward solving climate change and supporting the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Through Gen Zero, she promotes the idea that young people are not just witnesses to the climate crisis they are essential agents of change.

In partnership with Conservation Vietnam, Gen Zero organized the workshop “Youth for Climate Action and Biodiversity Conservation”, where thousands of participants learned how to protect ecosystems, champion sustainability, and act as guardians of Vietnam’s rich natural heritage.

Bảo Ngọc shared:

“To love nature is not only a responsibility, but the essence of life itself. The survival of our planet is the survival of us all.”

At the event, Gen Zero also introduced an immersive booth featuring interactive activities on climate resilience, sustainable consumption, and local green innovations — all designed to spark learning, dialogue, and real-world engagement.

“Empowering Vietnamese youth to lead the global climate movement is the heartbeat of my mission,” Bảo Ngọc affirmed.
