Her visit focused on cancer drug development, state-of-the-art treatment technologies, and integrated patient care approach.

On the afternoon of August 14th, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, the reigning Miss World, visited the prestigious Chulabhorn Research Institute to learn about Thailand’s cutting-edge research systems and medical advancements. Her visit focused on cancer drug development, state-of-the-art treatment technologies, and integrated patient care approach.

She was welcomed by Mr. Suraphit Keeratibutr, Vice President for International Relations at the Institute and former Ambassador to Rome, who shared insights into key research projects, including initiatives to elevate breast cancer treatment standards in line with global best practices.

Opal explored the institute’s pioneering work in medical innovation and examined how emerging technologies can expand treatment opportunities and improve patients’ quality of life.

The visit closely aligns with her personal advocacy, “Opal For Her”, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness on breast cancer prevention and promoting sustainable, patient-centered care, and Miss World’s Beauty With a Purpose.

She demonstrated a deep interest in understanding their work, actively asking insightful questions and engaging with the researchers. Opal believes that knowledge and accurate information are powerful tools in the fight against breast cancer.
