Nada Koussa, who represented Lebanon at the 72nd Miss World Festival and reached the Top 20 semifinal, (Top 5 in Asia and Oceania), has been actively supporting humanitarian efforts as an ENOUGH Ambassador, working alongside World Vision to assist families displaced by the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

During a recent visit to a collective shelter in Lebanon, Nada joined the World Vision Lebanon team to meet displaced families and children who were forced to flee their homes. Listening to their stories and witnessing their struggles, she helped distribute hygiene kits, drinking water, and ready-to-eat food to families currently living in temporary shelters.

The visit highlighted the difficult reality faced by many children in the country. As noted in the campaign’s message, some young people are learning harsh words far too early: displacement, shelter, and escape. Families across Lebanon have been forced to leave their homes and seek safety in collective shelters as violence continues to affect several regions.

World Vision has been present in Lebanon since 1975, when it began operations during the country’s civil war. Today, the organization continues to support Lebanese families and refugee communities through development programs, emergency relief, and advocacy initiatives focused on child protection, education, sanitation, and basic humanitarian assistance.

Since the escalation of hostilities in October 2023, humanitarian needs have grown dramatically. According to relief reports, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced, with children representing a significant proportion of those affected. Humanitarian organizations estimate that nearly 820,000 people have been forced from their homes, including more than 200,000 children, as evacuation orders expanded across southern regions of the country.

Through its emergency response, World Vision Lebanon has already reached more than 46,000 people, including over 17,000 children, providing essential support to families facing increasingly difficult circumstances.

By lending her voice and presence to these efforts, Nada Koussa is helping bring international attention to the humanitarian situation while embodying the spirit of Beauty With a Purpose.
