After a full day dedicated to evaluating advocacy-driven initiatives, Miss World Philippines has officially announced the 11 semifinalists competing for the prestigious Beauty with a Purpose award at the 2026 national competition.

The selection follows detailed presentations of the delegates’ respective advocacy projects, highlighting the pageant’s continued emphasis on social impact and community service as core pillars of the Miss World program.

Four of the Top 11 semifinalists come from Mindanao: Christal Briseis of Iligan City, Roveelainne Eve Castillo of the Zamboanga Peninsula, Jayvee Lyn Lorejo representing the Davao Region, and Gwen Marie Perion of Bukidnon.

Luzon is represented by three delegates: Kiana Henson of Quezon Province, Ronnette Castillo from Oriental Mindoro, and Valerie West of Ifugao.

Two aspirants from overseas Filipino communities also advanced to the shortlist, with Margarethe Elize Romano representing the United Kingdom and Marizza Delgado representing New York.

From the Visayas, Cindy Valencia of the Negros Island Region secured a place in the Top 11, while Asia Rose Simpson of Quezon City carries the banner for the National Capital Region.

Beauty with a Purpose is one of the competition’s key fast-track events, granting its winner an automatic place in the semifinals during the coronation night. The segment underscores the Miss World organization’s long-standing commitment to advocacy, humanitarian work, and sustainable community initiatives.

The BWAP Judges:

Among them is Krishnah Marie Gravidez, Miss World Philippines 2024 and Miss World Asia 2025, whose charity Color the World with Kindness empowers women and youth while supporting animal welfare.

Also part of the panel is Tracy Maureen Perez, whose BWAP project Para Kay Nanay provides a safe and loving space for single mothers. She is the second Filipina to win the BWAP Fast Track at Miss World.

Peace advocate Bai Rohaniza Sumndad-Usman, founder of the Teach Peace Build Peace Movement, brings global recognition as an Ashoka Changemaker, UNDP N-Peace awardee, and one of Asia’s Leaders of Tomorrow.

Development professional Emee Lei Albano-Valdehuesa contributes extensive experience in adolescent health, youth leadership, and policy advocacy across UN agencies and international organizations.

Completing the panel are Amber Garma, Membership Officer of the League of Corporate Foundations and coordinator of its food security initiative in Basilan, and Nikki Buenafe-Cheveh, Miss World Philippines 2024 Beauty with a Purpose winner and reigning Face of Beauty International 2025.

Meanwhile, other fast-track challenges are already underway, including the Talent and Sports competitions. The Head-to-Head Challenge, another significant segment of the contest, took place on January 21.

The reigning Miss World Philippines and Miss World Asia, Krishnah Gravidez, is set to crown her successor during the grand coronation night scheduled for February 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Reigning Miss World Opal Suchata from Thailand will be a VIP guest at the event.
