Reigning Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri joined nine prominent women leaders in a panel discussion held on 4 March 2026, organized as part of the “Empowered Women” initiative. The event was presided over by Her Majesty Queen Suthida of Thailand and celebrated both International Women’s Day and the 50th anniversary of the Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Associations of Thailand.

The ceremony also commemorated the 10th anniversary of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network Thailand (AWEN Thailand). Activities included exhibitions honoring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, a showcase dedicated to Her Majesty the Queen, and displays by the Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Associations of Thailand and AWEN Thailand. The program additionally featured the launch of the book The Empowered Woman’s Bible.

During the panel discussion, Opal shared reflections on the challenges faced by young women today and the importance of resilience and self-belief. She spoke openly about the surgery she underwent at the age of 16, describing how the experience required courage but ultimately inspired her to support other women facing similar struggles. According to Opal, every crisis can become an opportunity for growth when approached with determination and a positive mindset.

Listening to the stories of fellow panelists, Opal noted that many successful journeys begin with moments of difficulty or failure. She emphasized that such experiences often reveal new paths for personal development and leadership, reinforcing the power of women to inspire change across generations.
