Miss World Malaysia Taanusiya Chetty recently led Project Lestari Laut as part of the “Learning by the Waves” initiative, traveling with 40 volunteers to Kampung Sungai Dua, an Orang Asli village, to support local children through her Beauty With a Purpose (BWAP) advocacy.

The team journeyed nearly an hour by car to Port Klang, followed by a 40-minute ferry ride, united by the goal of delivering knowledge, care and encouragement to the community. The outreach focused on practical and confidence-building activities.

Throughout the day, children participated in English communication sessions to build confidence, fitness activities promoting physical wellbeing, and lessons on hygiene, including oral care and sun awareness. The initiative aimed to teach, equipping the children with tools to protect their health and strengthen their self-esteem.

The reigning Miss World Malaysia described the project as a meaningful moment of connection and shared growth.
