Once again Miss World Lebanon highlights the importance of awareness, support, and hope

Wednesday, 10 September marked World Suicide Prevention Day, an occasion observed globally to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and suicide prevention. To highlight the issue, Miss World Lebanon and 72nd Miss World Top 20 semi-finalist (Top 5 in Asia & Oceania) Nada Koussa appeared in an episode of the National Mental Health Programme’s “Let’s Talk” YouTube series.

A qualified clinical psychologist and Ambassador of Mental Health for Lebanon, Koussa has dedicated her Beauty with a Purpose mission to raising awareness on mental health and expanding access to psychological support. She provides free mental health sessions and delivers training in psychological first aid to professionals across the country. In recognition of her efforts, she was recently awarded the World Influencer and Blogger Mediterranean Award (WIBA) for her impactful work in Lebanon and beyond.

On World Suicide Prevention Day, Koussa shared an important message across her social media platforms, reminding people of the national hotline for psychological support and suicide prevention, Lifeline 1564, available 24/7. She encouraged viewers to learn about the factors that increase the risk of suicide and emphasized the importance of collective action in preventing such crises.

The episode was produced by the National Mental Health Program in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and supported by the French Development Agency, and is available with English subtitles on YouTube.
