Miss World Kenya, Trizha Muhenje, recently visited Njathaini Primary School, where she engaged with students as part of her Beauty With a Purpose initiative focused on education and literacy.

The visit was part of a book drive in collaboration with the Rotary Club Ridgeways. The initiative provided essential learning materials to students, reinforcing efforts to improve access to education. The activity highlighted the impact of community partnerships in supporting young learners, with organizers emphasizing that even small contributions can make a meaningful and lasting difference in shaping children’s futures.

During the visit, Muhenje spent time interacting with pupils and supporting reading activities, highlighting the importance of early access to books. She emphasized that developing reading habits at a young age plays a key role in improving learning outcomes, building confidence, and expanding opportunities for children.

Quoting Nelson Mandela, she noted that education remains one of the most powerful tools for change, reinforcing the need to ensure that every child has access to knowledge and learning resources.

The initiative encourages a culture of reading among young students while supporting schools with limited access to educational materials. Muhenje’s visit is part of her broader advocacy to promote education and empower children through literacy.

Trizha will represent Kenya at the 75th Anniversary Edition of Miss World from August 9 to September 5, in Vietnam.
