The Dominican spirit was alive and vibrant at the New Jersey Dominican State Parade 2025, where Mayra Delgado, Miss World Dominican Republic, proudly represented her country on the official float of Goya Foods, the event’s main sponsor.

The streets of New Jersey were filled with Dominican flags, music, and smiles, celebrating the strength of the diaspora and its cultural pride. For Mayra, the experience was deeply meaningful as she reflected on the unstoppable energy of Dominicans abroad.

“The Dominican diaspora not only keeps our traditions alive but also drives progress and elevates the name of our country in every corner of the world,” Mayra said. “Today I feel proud to represent the essence of my homeland and carry our flag high.”

Joining her at the parade was Mr World Dominican Republic, Julio Peña, further highlighting the presence of Dominican talent in this important event. Together, they embodied the spirit of national pride and unity.

Mayra will soon pass on her crown, as she prepares to crown her successor on October 11, 2025, during the upcoming Miss World Dominican Republic event. Until then, she continues to inspire at home and abroad, showcasing the strength and culture of the Dominican Republic.
