Newly crowned Miss World Dominican Republic 2025, Joheirry Mola, had the honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the baseball game of Leones del Escogido in Santo Domingo. The event was filled with excitement and national pride as Mola joined one of the most historic and successful teams in Dominican baseball.

Founded in 1921, Leones del Escogido is one of the oldest and most celebrated baseball clubs in the Dominican Republic, boasting 17 national championships and 5 Caribbean Series titles. The team has been home to several Dominican baseball legends and remains a symbol of sportsmanship and unity in the country.
