The reigning Czech titleholder donates the equivalent of more than $1,300 USD to help a boy battling Hodgkin lymphoma, highlighting the power of compassion and community.
Miss World Czechia Linda Gorecka recently shared an emotional moment after visiting a young boy courageously battling Hodgkin lymphoma, using the occasion to offer both encouragement and support to him and his family.
During the visit, Gorecka presented the boy with a donation of 30,000 Czech koruna (approximately €1,235 / about $1,330 USD) to help with the challenges he and his family face during treatment. She emphasized that every contribution can make a difference in the difficult journey families endure when confronting serious illness.
Reflecting on the experience, Gorecka described the encounter as both emotionally intense and inspiring. Meeting the young patient and witnessing the strength of his family, she said, served as a powerful reminder of what truly matters in life.
“Today I had the opportunity to visit a boy who is fighting leukemia. It’s a battle he did not choose, yet he faces it with incredible strength,” she shared. “I’m grateful that I could help in some way and meet someone so brave.”
Gorecka also addressed the boy directly in her message. “Kamil, I’m thinking of you. Stay positive, step by step. We are with you.”
