Miss World Curaçao, Lishantely Jennie, continues to promote animal welfare awareness in Curaçao through her Beauty With a Purpose project, “Curason ku Mishon / Heart with a Mission.”

Working alongside the Curaçao Animal Protection Foundation, Lishantely has been supporting initiatives focused on stray animals, veterinary care, shelter assistance, rehoming, and education. The foundation serves as an important point of contact for animals in need across the island and collaborates with specialized partners when additional care is required.

As part of her project, Lishantely has been visiting schools and leading talks and workshops aimed at educating children about animal care and responsible treatment of animals. Recent activities included educational sessions at John F. Kennedy School and Divi Divi School, where students later presented what they had learned from her visits.

Before beginning the school campaign, Lishantely also interviewed Curaçao animal advocate Stanley Ignacio at Rancho De Herberg, where he cares for several species, including horses, tortoises, and birds.

Curaçao has faced ongoing concerns related to stray animals, and Lishantely’s project seeks to encourage awareness and community involvement through education and advocacy.

She will compete at the 75th Anniversary Edition of Miss World, August 9 to September 5, in Vietnam.
