Miss World Cayman Islands 2026, Kristianna Gordon, has been working with local organizations to deliver engaging educational sessions focused on healthy boundaries, mental health, and practical tools to help students navigate the upcoming exam season.

The initiative forms part of her Beauty With a Purpose project, Unsilenced, a youth-focused program designed to promote consent education, personal boundaries, and emotional awareness. Through school presentations and community work, the project aims to equip young people with the knowledge and language needed to understand consent, advocate for their own safety, and make informed decisions.

Unsilenced also addresses common misconceptions surrounding pressure, silence, and coercion, emphasizing that individuals have the right to set boundaries, change their minds, and express discomfort without justification. The project encourages young people to recognize warning signs, trust their instincts, and speak up when necessary.

To expand the program’s impact, Gordon partnered with the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre and the TAYA Lounge.

The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre provides services and programmes that support survivors of domestic abuse, while TAYA Lounge offers a safe and supportive environment for at-risk youth, helping them build life skills and maintain healthy relationships.

Describing the initiative, Gordon said:

“As Miss World Cayman Islands, I had the privilege of working alongside the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre and TAYA Lounge to help educate young people about healthy boundaries, mental health, and practical tools to navigate the stressful exam season ahead.”

She highlighted the interactive nature of the sessions, adding:

“Throughout the month of May, we worked hard to create engaging and creative ways to encourage student participation during our presentations. To say it was successful would be an understatement. My favorite part was definitely the end, when everyone had the opportunity to artistically express something that brings them joy and supports their mental well-being.”

The national ambassador and her partners visited Grace Christian Academy, where they met with students and discussed topics related to consent, emotional well-being, and healthy communication.

“We had the pleasure of visiting Grace Christian Academy and speaking with two classes filled with bright, kind, and wonderfully enthusiastic students. Their energy, laughter, and willingness to engage made the experience so special,” she said.

Gordon also expressed gratitude to the organizations involved:

“A huge thank you to the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, especially Renee and Jamara, who are truly angels on earth. Thank you as well to Grace Christian Academy for welcoming us and allowing us to connect with your students. We wish them all the very best in their upcoming exams.”

Looking ahead, she hopes to continue expanding the project across the Cayman Islands.

“I am incredibly grateful to have been part of this initiative. I’m still smiling when I think about it, and I hope to continue visiting more schools across Cayman to spread awareness, encourage healthy conversations around mental health, and promote positive creative outlets.”

“This role continues to be one of the greatest blessings, and I am so thankful for every opportunity to serve my community.”

Gordon has stated that she intends to continue Unsilenced beyond her national reign, with the goal of creating long-term awareness and safer environments for young people throughout the Cayman Islands.

She will represent the Cayman Islands at the 75th Anniversary Edition of Miss World in Vietnam, August 9 to September 5.
