Laurence Fibleuil has been crowned Miss World Martinique 2026 and will represent the Caribbean island at the 75th Miss World Festival, set to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.

She succeeds Aurélie Joachim, who made history for Martinique at the last edition of Miss World. Joachim achieved the Martinique’s best-ever result by winning the Americas & Caribbean continental spot in the Top 4, and ultimately finishing fourth overall.

A graduate in business studies who works in audit consulting, Laurence is 23 years old. 

Living with a disability affecting her left arm due to a brachial plexus impairment, hasn’t stopped her from building an impressive career as an international para-athlete specializing in sprint events.

Fibleuil has also been selected as an Olympic Torchbearer for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Although she once had the opportunity to pursue a path toward the Paralympic Games, she chose to prioritize her academic studies.

Now, as Miss World Martinique 2026, Laurence hopes to share her story with the world and continue making history for Martinique.
