Doctor, Pilot, Changemaker: Jennifer Ortiz Crowned Miss World Guatemala 2025

Jennifer Andrea Ortiz, hailing from the department of Chiquimula, was crowned Miss World Guatemala 2025 during a nationally televised ceremony on May 31, just hours after Opal Suchata from Thailand was crowned Miss World in Telangana.

Jennifer stood out with her academic excellence, transformative leadership, and deep social commitment — representing a new generation of Guatemalan women determined to make a meaningful impact.

Soon to graduate as a Medical Doctor and Surgeon, Jennifer has dedicated her path to improving community health and ensuring access to care for vulnerable populations. Her passion for learning has also taken her beyond the classroom and the clinic: she is a trained Aviator Pilot, demonstrating discipline, determination, and bold vision.

She is the founder of SanArte: Wings of Hope, a charitable organization committed to improving the lives of at-risk children and families in Guatemala. Through educational programs and medical assistance, SanArte has touched countless lives, in perfect harmony with the Beauty With a Purpose mission that lies at the heart of Miss World.

Her love of medicine and children is evident in her everyday work with the foundation. In a recent post on the official Alas de Esperanza account, Jennifer reflected:

“Children have a unique way of filling your heart with pure and sincere love. Every time they run to hug us and call us ‘doctollas,’ they remind us why we chose this path. Beyond medicine, the affection and trust we cultivate with them is the most valuable gift. May we never lose that innocence and joy that makes the world a more beautiful place.”

Now crowned Miss World Guatemala 2025 succeeding Jeimy Escobedo, Jennifer will proudly represent her country on the global stage at the 73rd Miss World Festival, scheduled for 2026.

Congratulations to Jennifer Ortiz, an inspiring young woman whose heart, dedication, and purpose truly shine!
