Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, is in Jakarta to attend the Grand Coronation of Miss Indonesia 2025, happening on July 9 and broadcast live on RCTI from the state-of-the-art RCTI+ Studio.

Opal is accompanied by Stephen Douglas Morley, Event Director of Miss World, and Sudha Reddy, Miss World Global Ambassador for Beauty With a Purpose. Their presence brings global prestige and inspiration to this 19th edition of Miss Indonesia.

According to Liliana Tanoesoedibjo, Chairwoman of Miss Indonesia Organization, “Opal’s visit offers motivation and insight to our 38 finalists as a role model of leadership, purpose, and compassion.”

Sudha Reddy, attending her very first event as a global ambassador for Beauty With a Purpose, traveled from India to witness the occasion. She praised Indonesia for being “a few steps ahead” of many other countries in terms of the impactful social projects led by its representatives in recent years. And she’s absolutely right: Indonesia holds a record-breaking six Beauty With a Purpose wins, more than any other nation in Miss World history.

Opal, who made history as the first Thai woman to win Miss World, crowned in May at the 72nd Miss World Final in Telangana, India is a political science student at Thammasat University and founder of Opal for Her, a campaign raising awareness on women’s health and early breast cancer detection.

Happy to be in Indonesia, she shared, ‘It’s my first time in Indonesia and it’s very lovely! I’ve heard about Indonesia my whole life and it’s an honor to visit Indonesia for the first time as Miss World. We shared a lot in common, it feels very special to be here’.

Indonesia continues to shine at Miss World, with a 12-year placement streak, two 2nd runner-up finishes, and several BWAP wins (more than any other country). Reigning queen Monica Kezia Sembiring @monica.kezia placed in the Top 10 in Asia & Oceania, Top 40 overall, and won both the Talent and Beauty With a Purpose awards at Miss World 2024.

We can’t wait to meet the new Miss Indonesia 2025! Who will carry the crown and the mission forward?
