Miss World Argentina 2023 receives Diploma of Honor as her journey inspires a new generation of women.

When Guadalupe Alomar, Miss World Argentina at the 72nd Miss World Festival, heard her name called among the semi-finalists on the Telangana stage last year, she paused for a moment, almost suspended between disbelief and emotion, before joining the other finalists.

She had made the Top 40. Then the Top 20 (Top 5 in the Americas & Caribbean), taking Argentina to its highest placement at Miss World since 1987, a remarkable milestone 38 years.

Recently, her journey, her social impact, and her achievements were recognized by the Concejo Municipal de Rosario (Rosario City Council), which awarded her a Diploma de Honor, a “Diploma of Honor from the City of Rosario in recognition of her achievements as Miss World Santa Fe and Miss World Argentina.”

Sharing the moment on her social media, Guadalupe expressed her joy at being recognized by her own city.

Throughout the month-long festival, Guadalupe consistently demonstrated grace and true sportsmanship. One unforgettable moment came during the Head-to-Head Challenge, when she voluntarily stepped in as a translator for fellow contestants who spoke Spanish but were not fluent in English. She did it really well, and it was just one example of the character behind her success.

In her message of gratitude, she thanked her provincial director, her national directors, her team, her family, and all those who supported her journey. She also shared a note to the Miss World organization:

“Thank you to the entire Miss World team for knowing how to look beyond the superficial, for valuing not only what is visible, but also what comes from within: humility, empathy, generosity, commitment, and constant hard work. Thank you for reminding us that true beauty has a purpose, and for giving space to stories that seek to create real impact.”

She concluded by hoping that her journey may inspire other women to believe in themselves, to take courage, and to pursue their dreams.

And, as she beautifully said: this is only the beginning.

We have no doubt that it is. Congratulations on a truly well-deserved recognition!
