Elisabeth Reynés has been crowned Miss World Spain 2026 following the national final held in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, on April 18. The 22-year-old from Mallorca, Balearic Islands, will represent Spain at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.

Reynés holds a degree in Accommodation Management and is currently studying Hotel Management at the University of the Balearic Islands. She speaks Spanish, Catalan and English, has basic knowledge of Swedish, and is learning German.

María Miguel Esplá, representing the Valencian Community, was named first runner-up. Carla Castro of Tenerife finished as second runner-up. The Top 5 was completed by the representatives of Barcelona and Canarias.

Reynés approaches the title with a defined objective: visibility for causes and representation with purpose.

“Beyond the title, what fulfills me is knowing I have a platform to give visibility to important causes and represent Spain,” she said, adding that she views her win as the beginning of a responsibility.

Her interests include graphic design, baking, fashion, music and travel. She also plays the viola. She completed the International Baccalaureate program, including its CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) component.

She describes herself as close, authentic and curious.

Reynés has set out how she wants her reign to be remembered: “for authenticity and commitment.” She has stated that her goal is to show that a titleholder can be accessible, grounded and focused on impact.

The new Miss World Spain identified mental health as a priority, citing the need for visibility and support. She also referenced education, equal opportunities and environmental awareness as areas of interest.

Her social project is centered on environmental responsibility, particularly the relationship with the sea. Through volunteer initiatives, the project encourages public participation in conservation, environmental education and awareness, with the aim of turning awareness into action.

Reynés acknowledged that preparation required her to confront insecurities and adapt to public scrutiny. She described the process as discipline-driven and focused on personal development.

She pointed to past titleholders as a reference, particularly those who have extended their impact beyond their reign.

She cited Mireia Lalaguna as a key inspiration, highlighting her representation of Spain and Miss World victory with consistency and focus on education and personal development.

She stated that she aims to follow a similar path, using the title as a long-term platform rather than a temporary role.

Reynés is the great-granddaughter of Swedish count Carl Gustaf von Rosen (1909–1977), a pilot known for humanitarian missions during the Biafra conflict, a brutal war triggered by the attempted secession of southeastern Nigeria. He delivered food, medicine, and basic supplies to civilians in Nigeria.

She has linked this background to her own perspective, emphasizing that her family legacy is defined by values such as responsibility, solidarity and service.

Her grandmother, who speaks eight languages and is also a countess, worked as a nanny in Paris for Josephine Baker, the iconic American-born dancer, singer and actress (later naturalized French), considered the first international Black superstar of the last century. Josephine was known for her performances at the Folies Bergère in Paris and, at the same time, for serving as a spy for the French Resistance against the Nazis.

In recent interviews, the new Miss World Spain also emphasized the importance of removing stereotypes around pageantry, stating that she wants the public to understand the platform “without stigma or prejudice.”

Reynés will now prepare for Miss World in Vietnam, where she will compete as part of the 75th anniversary edition of the festival.

Her stated objective is to deliver a campaign aligned with “Beauty With a Purpose,” focused on measurable social impact.

Reynés was crowned by Corina Mrazek, who represented Spain at Miss World in Telangana, India, last year.
