In 2007, the Beauty With a Purpose awards once again highlighted the power of compassion and sustained social impact, honoring outstanding national titleholders whose work has transformed lives across continents.

Among the recipients was Miss Hong Kong China 2007, Kayi Cheung, whose award recognized her tireless dedication to supporting the elderly in Hong Kong. Actively engaged with nursing homes and elderly care institutions, Kayi continued a proud legacy established by former Miss Hong Kong titleholders, women who, over a span of more than 35 years, had collectively raised over US$360 million for charitable causes under the Beauty With a Purpose umbrella.

Her work not only focused on improving the daily lives of senior citizens but also reflected strong ties with UNICEF, reinforcing a broader commitment to humanitarian outreach and community well-being.

The 2007 Beauty With a Purpose winners were announced by Makaziwe Mandela, daughter of Nelson Mandela and a respected advocate in her own right. Makaziwe Mandela has been widely recognized for her efforts in combating HIV/AIDS in South Africa, lending global significance and moral authority to the occasion.

The 2007 edition of Beauty With a Purpose once again underscored the Miss World Organization’s founding vision: that beauty finds its highest expression in service, solidarity, and lasting impact, values embodied by Miss Hong Kong Kayi Cheung and the other Miss World participants.
